We are designing it for a touch screen monitor for her to do transfers, see whose on the phone and a few other features. Its in the development stage and has bugs. but I think its gonna be really good. If your interested please let me know. Im gonna be putting up a site for downloading if there is enough interest. Gorilla arm was discovered in the 1980s and is a reason why touch screens aren't ubiquitous, but litigation for workplace injuries is both contemporary and not unusual. -- PGP key ID E85DC776 - finger abuse@mooli.org.uk for full key
Hello, astguiclient guy here, there WAS a problem with manager interface timeouts but it has been fixed and patched. The reason we stayed with a queue system is that the sheer number of clients we had accessing the manager interface overwhelmed the Asterisk box and resulted in tons of wasted data going back to the client. That's why we centralized everything in the astguiclient suite. Our gui app can work directly with the manager interface as well, but on a system with 80 people using our gui software, the centralized queue system proved a much more efficient and less processor intensive way to send manager commands. We currently have one client installation that sends over 100,000 manager commands per day to 3 different asterisk servers all on the same manager queue system, so it seems to be working fairly well. If anyone out there is successfully issuing over 40,000 manager commands daily to a single Asterisk server successfully I would like to hear about your experiences. Thanks, MATT--- -----Original Message----- From: Jonathan Moore [mailto:moorejon@usd465.com] Sent: Tuesday, June 01, 2004 11:25 AM To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] Asterisk Receptionist manager program. Very definetely interested in this. I can think of a lot of clients that would like it as well. The astgui guys claim there is a potential problem with the manager interface access. They have written some kind of demon to manage access. Have you seen and issue similar to this or seen a problem with greater than 1000 manager accesses per day? Looking forward to see your program. -- Jonathan Moore Director of Technology Winfield Public Schools Office 620.221.5100 Fax 620.221.0508 Quoting Kyle Hagan <khagan@nuvoinc.com>:> To all that are interested Im hoping to have a beta (or alpha) > available for download today. [Asterisk-Users] Asterisk Receptionist manager program.
I had a similar result. The buttons work fine for transferring calls, but there was no dial pad shown. (Is there supposed to be?) Also, it would be VERY handy if it didn't have to take up the whole screen. I've taken to clicking on the icon in the upper left corner and choosing "restore" just so that I don't end up having to devote an entire workstation to nothing but Asterisk Receptionist. ________________________________ From: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com on behalf of miguel@amplanet.com.br Sent: Thu 6/3/2004 1:40 PM To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] Asterisk Receptionist manager program. The main window needs to be sizeable. I have a dual monitor workstation that this would run on, and only want it on one monitor, while other apps reside on the other. Also, what is your licensing? This might be a nice addition to the Open Source community for * windows developers.
