Hi, When I installed my X100P card there was a two ring delay before the phone started to ring. I managed to solve that by stopping the Caller Line ID being passed to the phone. I'm in the UK so that doesn't matter anyway. The problem that I have now is that when a call comes in on the external phone line and it is answered by a standard phone (not connected to Asterisk), the IP Phones that are connected to it ring for another two rings. This is very irritating especially if the call is answered on a standard phone in the same room as an IP Phone. Is there anything that can be done to fix this problem ? Thanks, Paul. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/attachments/20040519/68168216/attachment.htm

If you want to use an analog phone, get a analog FXS card and attach to it. -- Steven Critchfield <critch@basesys.com>

The Sipura SPA-2000 is very cheap and can handle two analogue phones. Note that by switching off the Caller*ID support, you can't have "distinctive ring" either - as the code stands at the moment. It is possible to modify the code to make it answer on the first ring, while still maintaining support for the "distinctive ring". -- _/ _/ _/_/_/_/ _/ _/ _/_/_/ _/ _/ _/_/_/ _/_/ _/ _/ _/ _/_/ _/ K e v i n W a l s h _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/_/ kevin@cursor.biz _/ _/ _/_/_/_/ _/ _/_/_/ _/ _/

Currently it can't without relying on a timeout, as far as I know. The Zaptel drivers could determine the line was picked up by whatever method answering machines determine this, but I don't believe the drivers currently support this. --Eric -- Useful Asterisk Docs (BOOKMARK THEM!): http://www.digium.com/index.php?menu=documentation (look at the "Unofficial Links") and http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk and http://www.fnords.org/~eric/asterisk/ (my site) and http://asteriskdocs.org/
When I run ztcfg -vv I get an error saying line 138: unable to open master device /dev/zap/ctl Asterisks also fails with errors I just need a direction to look to where the problem might be. If you need anymore info just ask. James Moran
