asterisk users - Oct 2003 - Setting up an IAX2 trunk

I am trying to set up an IAX2 trunk between two
servers.
Server A has the following in iax.conf:
[general]
...
[ServerB]
type=friend
trunk=yes
host=dynamic
secret=myPassword
context=myContext

Server B has the following in extensions.conf:
[outgoing]
exten=>_40X,1,Dial,IAX2/ServerB:myPassword@x.x.x.x/${EXTEN}

I am using bmtools to monitor the bandwidth usage, and
I am not seeing a difference.

Is there any other configuration I need to do to get
this to work?

I think you either need to add a register line to iax.conf somewhere or make 
the host= line use a fixed ip-address.

You can see (some of) the results of call trunking using 'iax2 trunk
debug'.

Trunks don't seem to work with "host=dynamic", at least in my
setup they
don't.  A good way to see if calls are actually going down the trunk is
to type "iax2 trunk debug" at the Asterisk CLI when you have calls
going
between server A and server B.

So if I understand correctly: on SMP systems without UHCI USB support
the _only_ way to have a zaptel interface is to purchase a card from
Digium? 

In other words, SMP systems will always have exclusive use of /dev/rtc?
