Anybody has figured out why asterisk + snom have such bad quality using GSM? When I use GSM I see such messages dumped on asterisk console: WARNING[14351]: File dsp.c, Line 1198 (ast_dsp_process): Unable to detect process 2 frames WARNING[14351]: File dsp.c, Line 1198 (ast_dsp_process): Unable to detect process 2 frames WARNING[14351]: File dsp.c, Line 1198 (ast_dsp_process): Unable to detect process 2 frames -- Anton Yurchenko<phila@dg.net.ua> Digital Generation

Last I had heard, they were still working on compatibility with GSM. Firmware version 1.15e, which is what my Snom 100 automatically updated itself to, does not work with GSM. -Tilghman

Dont start a new thread by changing the subject of an ongoing thread unless it is related and just to reflect the direction the thread is moving. It is easier to click on the list mail link and start the fresh email than click reply and edit out all that is there already. 2nd. Your problem is probably because you have defined callerid for your X100P as your PSTN number. Place this line before the channel number for your X100P. callerid=asreceived -- Steven Critchfield <critch@basesys.com>
Have you got the number of rings for caller-id set right ?? its in chan_zap somewhere from memory.. Actually it would be nice if it was actually in zaptel.conf instead.. Mark ? Hi, chan_zap.c is a big file. I would be nice to have something like in Cisco ATA186. http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/voice/ata/ataadmn/ata8mgcp/mgcpaape.htm#1023728 In that way you can use it allmost everywhere in the world, just by changing a parameter.
