asterisk users - Jun 2003 - Cisco 7905G phone

Hi to all,

I've just received my Cisco 7905G ipphone. I want to connect it to asterisk
server but it looks that it has been preloaded with sccp protocol, so I
guess I need H.323 or SIP firmware image of some kind. I have a working tftp
server on my asterisk box also....What do I need to do now to get things
wokring?

Hi,

The phone specifications
(http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/cc/pd/tlhw/prodlit/ip795_ds.htm) states
that this model only supports:
  a.. Call Manager 3.3 and above, using the SCCP protocol
  b.. H.323 Version 2
There is no SIP image available.

You can buy a SIP/MGCP/H.323 license here in Australia for AU$144.14
(product code SW-SMH-UL-7905).

As you can buy a license for SIP, there must be SIP images available (do
they come with the license?).

Hi Shaun,

Cisco states that SIP is not available for 7905.

For 7905 there is only Skninny and H.323 image.

There is a SIP image available for 7905 too??
