Rails - Apr 2006 - Posts not getting through (was problems with MySQL gem

No wonder noone has responded to my posts - I''m not sure
they''re going
out. Looking on the ruby-forum I don''t see any of the three messages  
I''ve posted about problems with the MySQL gem.

Basically, doing a gem update is getting me this over and over - on both  
OS X and Ubuntu (Breezy):
