R sig jobs - Oct 2010 - Help develop an analytics software product with an R backbone

> We're developing a software tool that does statistical analysis and
forecasting using a number of historical data sets (time series).  We're
looking for a statistician with experience in R to help us build out the
statistical backbone of the software and provide ongoing analysis for our
clients.  This position will be 50% focused on research and development of
the statistical packages we use for analyzing the data, and 50% focused on
analyzing data on a monthly and/or quarterly basis and producing reports
that highlight key findings and recommendations for our clients.  You will
work closely with both the software development team (me!) and the leaders
of our consulting practice to refine our approach and deliverables.

> - Experience with R
> - Degree in Statistics or related math field
> - Foundational understanding and experience with time series analysis (R
forecast package)
> - Passionate about the practical application of statistical to drive
strategic decision making

> - Experience with Ruby (RSRuby)
> - Web development experience (Rails)
> - Social Network Analysis (SNA) experience
> - Pharma industry experience
