Hi,
my current pool looks like this:
config:
         NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM
         obelixData ONLINE 0 0 0
           c4t210000D023038FA8d0 ONLINE 0 0 0
           c4t210000D02305FF42d0 ONLINE 0 0 0
where c4t210000D023038FA8d0 (6TB) and c4t210000D02305FF42d0 (12TB) are
the RAID6 LUNs that are presented by my two raid boxes. Now, I want to
get them out of the pool and have mirrors of disks that I will also get
via FC.
I need to be able to use zfs send -i from these file systems and I was
wondering, if I would zfs send/receive the whole parent zfs onto a new
pool, would I still be able to continue my incremental zfs sends from
the new pool? I guess not since the new pool will have another UUID and
zfs send will detect that, won''t it?
I think the issue is, that I don''t have any appropriate vdevs at hand
to
"upgrade" the two existing vdevs to mirrors, so I could pull out the
RAID6 LUNS. Does anyone know another approach?.
Cheers,
budy
