Hi all, I use xen-4.0.1 in Debian from unstable repository. I would like to use pv-grub with my domU but I can''t find any pv-grub.gz in my installation. I looked for "pv-grub" and "pvgrub" on my hard disk and it returned only xmexample.pv-grub.gz. A search in xen-4.0.1 source tree from xen.org gave me the same result. Where can I find it ? The Gentoo Xen ebuilds do not support building stubdom because it downloads external packages during the built process which is not acceptable/compatible with the portage ebuild system, perhaps it is not included in the debian package for similar reasons. The debian Xen maintainers seemed interested, and so I don''t think this should run into any issues. I''ve been meaning to package pv-grub, but have been too lazy so far. In Debian Squeeze pygrub is in xen-utils package: dpkg -S pygrub xen-utils-4.0: /usr/lib/xen-4.0/lib/python/pygrub-0.3.egg-info xen-utils-4.0: /usr/lib/xen-4.0/bin/pygrub 2010/10/1 Dmitry Nedospasov <dmitry@nedos.net>> On Thu, Sep 30, 2010 at 07:17:56PM +0100, Andrew Lyon wrote: > > perhaps it is not included in the debian package for similar reasons. > > Well, it has Actually never been part of the debian packages, but I > think its just a matter of time before someone makes a package for it. > The debian Xen maintainers seemed interested, and so I don''t think this > should run into any issues. > > I''ve been meaning to package pv-grub, but have been too lazy so far. > > D. > -- > Dmitry Nedospasov <dmitry@nedos.net> -- Twitter: @nedos > Web: http://nedos.net -- Github: http://github.com/nedos > > _______________________________________________ > Xen-users mailing list > Xen-users@lists.xensource.com > http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users >-- WBR, Kozlov Ilya AKA unicast AKA Lin _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
