Hi all, I connect dom0 by ssh. I have some domUs, and boot successfully. However, when I type "xm destroy/shutdown domU_ID". The dom0 freeze. I can reconnect to dom0 several minutes later and found the domU already shutdown. That''s why? Thanks a lot. Best Regards! Re: [Xen-users] Why dom0 freeze when shutdown/destroy domU?
Hi, What version are you using? I''ve had the same issue with 4.0 and have now upgraded. I''ve not seen the issue yet. [Xen-users] any manuals and documents about Xen and Xen Cloud Platform?
Hi All, Does anyone know any manuals or documents about how to use Xen Cloud Platform (XCP)? I find there''are not enough useful documents on http://www.xen.org. Where can I get more directions about using XCP or Xen? I installed Xen Cloud Platform from the ISO download from http://www.xen.org/products/cloud_source.html Thanks, Loki Xie _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Most likely you need spanning-tree portfast (or equivalent) setting in the switch port, and the ones where you''re having problems does not have that setting. -- Fajar _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

yes, they all connect to the same switch and the same vlan. But I don''t know why this happen. On Mon, Sep 13, 2010 at 4:49 PM, Fajar A. I have confirmed that the switch had portfast setting. Perhaps it''s some additional setting on their individual switch port. Or some settings in native vlan. Or speed/duplex settings. Looking at both switch console log and dom0''s console log when the problem occured may also provide some additional info (like some ports suddenly detected as offline, etc.). Also Centos 5.5 has been available for some time, so you might want to update (at least the kernel-xen package), and see if the problem is solved. -- Fajar _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
