Hi all, I need to install windows streaming media server on one of my xen3.4.2 guest. Is it possible to create a windows xp paravirtual guest on xen? Like I install other Linux guest as the paravirtual ones. If yes please give some brief steps for that. Regards, Fasiha Ashraf The INTERNET now has a personality. YOURS! See your Yahoo! It still requires running Windows as HVM (fully virtualized) domU though. While not as good as PV domU, it''s much better compared to QEMU-emulated drivers. -- Fajar _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
If its that easy to convince them to port, I will :p Well, seeing my requirement i agree with Fajar. Regards, Fasiha Ashraf --- On Mon, 4/1/10, Fajar A. I am using this link to create a fully virt guest of windows in xen environment. Not successful yet. Please explain the highlighted parameters in the following step. NB: I would like to install it from cdrom. disk = [ ''file:/home/xen/domains/win01/disk.img,ioemu:hda,w'', ''file:/home/cc/iso-images/WindowsXP-SP2/image.iso,ioemu:hdc:cdrom,r'' ] Regards, Fasiha Ashraf --- On Mon, 4/1/10, Fajar A. I highly recommend you use ISO image though. -- Fajar _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
