Xen users - Dec 2006 - How to create DomU without config file

Is there any one having experience creating a DomU without a config file?
I don''t know how to assign a device as its vbd.
there is no any info in xm manual:
without config file
  xm create /dev/null ramdisk=initrd.img \
     kernel=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.12.6-xenU \
     name=ramdisk nics=0 vcpus=1 \
     memory=64 root=/dev/ram0
