zfs discuss - Dec 2006 - destroying large file system takes too much time

Hello zfs-discuss,

  S10U3, one pool with several RAID-Z2 groups, one file system in a
  pool with one large file (about 16,7TB). Pool was just imported and
  I issued zfs destroy pool/test.

  According to zpool iostat there''s about 1-3MB/s of reads with 1-2K
  IOPS. Using iostat I can see about 25MB/s of reads.

  zfs destroy pool/test took 17 minutes. Nothing else was running on
  x4500.

  I would rather expect it to took 1-5s no 17 minutes!

  ps. there''s already open bug related to this I think.
