Shorewall users - Apr 2004 - Just need a simple pop3 & smtp access. It''s not working! :(

Hi all,
This one really beats me. I''ve run out of idea how to get this right
(well, I
plan to format it and replace with mdk9.2).
I''m running a gateway on mdk9.0 box using gShield. Now, since I have
been
using shorewall on my notebook with great satisfaction, I want to replace 
gShield with shorewall.

So, I set it with this settings:
interface:
net     ppp0    -
loc     eth0    detect

zones:
net     Net             Internet
loc     Local           Local networks

masq:
ppp0 eth0

policy:
net     fw     DROP    ULOG
fw     net     ACCEPT  ULOG
loc     net     ACCEPT  ULOG
all     all     DROP    ULOG

rules:
REDIRECT		loc	3128	tcp	www		-
ACCEPT:info     loc     fw     tcp     110,25,22,21,80     -
ACCEPT:info     fw     all     all     -       -
ACCEPT:info     net     fw     tcp     80      -

The problem:
www runs perfectly (through squid), however, I can''t download or send
any
emails. 1. What did I do wrong? I really want to use shorewall than gShield.
2. Is there any sequence between pppd and shorewall? Should I turn on 
shorewall first or pppd first?
