Does average bitrate mode ==> variable bitrate mode? 2. If average bitrate mode is enabled, then is (plain) bitrate ignored? 3. If variable (non-average) bitrate mode is enabled, is plain bitrate still used? If so, how?> Speex 1.2Beta3-- Randy Yates % "The dreamer, the unwoken fool - Digital Signal Labs % in dreams, no pain will kiss the brow..." mailto://yates at ieee.org % http://www.digitalsignallabs.com % 'Eldorado Overture', *Eldorado*, ELO
If I understand these terms correctly, you cannot specify simultaneously all three, e.g., high quality, low bitrate, and low complexity. It seems that specifying any two implies the third. For example, specifying a high quality and low bitrate will necessarily require a high complexity. Am I correct? If not, can someone please explain how these parameters interact? -- Randy Yates % "Maybe one day I'll feel her cold embrace, Digital Signal Labs % and kiss her interface, mailto://yates at ieee.org % til then, I'll leave her alone." http://www.digitalsignallabs.com % 'Yours Truly, 2095', *Time*, ELO
