The strange thing is that I cloned this server from another server, and the original server does not have the "wbinfo -u" problem. Both servers have the exact same configurations.. I have tried adding "client ldap sasl wrapping = plain"to smb.conf and no help. Any other thoughts? Pretty much all other wbinfo commands work but just not wbinfo -u and -g. My Samba servers are member servers in AD. I have four Samba servers all with identical configuration, and just this one has this annoying issue. Thanks Andreas for the reply. Did "net cache flush" and no help. Also when I use "net ads search '(objectCategory=group)' sAMAccountName", I can see all the groups. But wbinfo -g gives nothing. wired! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dennis Xu" <dxu at uoguelph.ca> To: "Andreas Schamanek" <schamane at fam.tuwien.ac.at> Cc: "samba" <samba at lists.samba.org> Sent: Friday, April 29, 2016 4:01:36 PM Subject: Re: [Samba] wbinfo -u and -g gives no output Thanks Andreas for the reply. All six of our 4.2.9 samba servers behave differently. Some give a result straight away, others just give no result straight away, while others still lock up samba while it's trying to give a result. We've just learned not to bother trying to run wbinfo -u :) -----Original Message----- From: samba [mailto:samba-bounces at lists.samba.org] On Behalf Of Dennis Xu Sent: 29 April 2016 21:02 To: Andreas Schamanek <schamane at fam.tuwien.ac.at> Cc: samba <samba at lists.samba.org> Subject: Re: [Samba] wbinfo -u and -g gives no output Thanks Andreas for the reply.
