[Samba] strange: Failed DNS update - NT_STATUS_IO_TIMEOUT
Hai, ? Im seeing something very strange.? ( Debian wheezy, sernet-samba 4.1.14 ) ? after update-ing my debian servers and restarting them, im see-ing the following on my ADDC2. ? [2015/01/19 11:09:10.422641,? 0] ../source4/dsdb/dns/dns_update.c:294(dnsupdate_nameupdate_done) ? ../source4/dsdb/dns/dns_update.c:294: Failed DNS update - NT_STATUS_IO_TIMEOUT ? I?checked the SOA's of the DNS and both are the same. And, besides above i see no errors, and as fare as i know/can see, everything is working fine. ? stopping sernet-samba-ad and bind and starting them again did not solve this error. ? anyone any tips, where to look next. ? Running : samba-tool? drs showrepl on both DC's, all successfull, and no errors. same, with : samba-tool? ldapcmp --filter="whenChanged" ldap://rtd-dc1 ldap://rtd-dc2 -d0 All successfull, and no errors. ? so i anyone has any suggestion. Nothing has changed in my setup, which was running fine. ( and looks like it, it still is) ? ? Greetz, ? Louis ? ?

[Samba] strange: Failed DNS update - NT_STATUS_IO_TIMEOUT
Ok, i did find my problem. I messup some of my rights a while ago, but in a way that samba was still working ok.. messed up my bind rights in /var/cache/bind due to a reinstall of some programs. .. my fix.. Reverted to my backup.
