temp name for destination directory, move in place after successfull complete?
...iour rync has on individual files (building them as .filename-random and then renaming them to filename) for the whole destination directory. Of course, I could instruct rsync to create .destination-random rather than just destination. However, I think I cannot rename the temporary directory after successfull completion via the rsync protocol (this would need shell access or a mounted filesystem, both of which I want to avoid). Is there any way to do this magic with rsync, or maybe is there any option that removes the whole destination again if something went wrong? Best regards, Andreas

After successfull passwordless ssh login, unable to do rsync
Hello everybody. I got a strange problem, which I hope to solve with your help. I'm doing "remote backups" using rsync in an ssh tunnel. In the last setup I realized, something is driving me crazy and I can't find *what* the problem is. I managed to successfully login via ssh in a "passwordless" way (by means of RSA-keys). After this step is done and I'm logged into the remote host, I can type: rsync rsync://localhost and I get the correct reply: Dati Whenever I type rsync rsync://localhost/Dati I get prompted for the user password. T...

Since I've got a 7920 myself and am trying to get things to work: If you've still got access to the cisco stuff: could you make available a tcpdump file (tcpdump -w) of a successfull callmanager registration? I'd really like to see what the successfull tftp and skinny sessions look like and try to duplicate that w/ asterisk. Thanks, Martin

Howto create hd image with bootable (Free)DOS system
...image for the update. Because of the size of the firmware it is not possible to use a FD image (not even 2.88MB). But in the documentation of PXELINUX there's a hint that bootable hd images are also supported by PXELINUX. I've no success on creating such an image so far. Does anyone have successfull created such an image and can give me a short howto for this? Kind regards, Dominik
