[Wine]Unhandled exception c0000005 after fresh rpm install on FC3 x86_86
I got stuck with Wine on 64-bit Fedora Core 3. I can not remember when it happened (I was using wine few times a month), but somehow wine stopped working. I have removed all rpms and installed wine20050111-1fc3 rpm but when I start wine for the first time as a "normal" user, it fails with the following: wine: creating configuration directory '/home/robert/.wine'... wine: Unhandled exception (thread 0009), starting debugger... err:seh:EXC_DefaultHandling Unhandled exception code c0000005 flags 0 addr 0x77784f50 wine: wineprefixcreate failed while creating '/home/robert/.wine'. wineserver: could not save registry branch to /home/robert/.wine-A8vPga/system.reg : No such file or directory wineserver: could not save registry branch to /home/robert/.wine-A8vPga/userdef.reg : No such file or directory wineserver: could not save registry branch to /home/robert/.wine-A8vPga/user.reg : No such file or directory I have disabled SElinux, but it did not do any good. Have tried some older (20041201) rpms, i386 and athlon flavours, but the problem is obviously somewhere else, the results are the same. The machine is dual opteron, 1G RAM, 100 GB of disk space is available, so it is not one of the trivial "disk full" troubles. Any hints for further trials? Could anyone enlighten me about what is a "c0000005 exception"? Thanks, Robert
