config moved?
Hi Folks
#1
Has ~/.wine/config
(http://www.codeweavers.com/support/docs/wine-user/config-file) moved?
Under ~/.wine/ I have no "config", but I do have the 3 files:
system.reg; user.reg; userdef.reg. Is one of these now the "config" file?

Well, I must be missing it, but I do not see any place where I can specify
the windows "Path" in any of :
(editing using text editor):
system.reg
userdef.reg
user.reg
or in winecfg
and as for regedit - the "find" option in the edit dropdown is
low-lighted so can't do that either.
For stupid people like me, could you or someone please spell out in simple
steps exactly what I do to specify the windows "Path".

It appears to be importing the info to userdef.reg instead of user.reg,
and then not using the settings in userdef.reg anyway.

The advice offers no action,
but seems to imply adding registry entries to wine,
which I thought winsetuptk handled.
I do have ~/.wine/system.reg, ~/.wine/user.reg and ~/.wine/userdef.reg

2. If I have no Microsoft Windows, should there not be any Windows
registry?
3. What does it mean to "live with" no original registry entries.
I also went ahead and tried to execute something.

Howto change default wineprefix settings?

How I can change these defaults into something different?
I tried to change Shell Folder "My Documents" (I believe that's what's called, not using English language version) from winecfg and comparing registrys through sdiff. All the registrys are identical (system, user and userdef), so wine must save that information into somewhere else. Where is it hidden so I could try to change it automatically, since manually sucks (I really dont want the files to go directly my /home/username -folder).
It would be so much easier to save the wanted edits into file and just say "use...

Installation-Problem
Hi!
I just got wine011023 (a striped tgz binary-archive), unpacked it into
my home-dir and exported the library-path as mentioned in the
HOWTOINSTALL-file.
Obviously the config-file format seems to have changed, so the
wine-howto was useless for configuration.
I tried to generate a config-file ("config") with the "wineconf"-script
(from the tool-directioy) and placed it in
