Just installed Wine and PureEdge so I can work with the US government's forms but am unable to open the form which is a file ending with .xfd extension. Can anyone shed some light on how to get PureEdge started? Using Ubuntu Gutsy and FF Any help is greatly appreciated. Scotty

Good luck.

I am working on a fix for the EM_FONTRANGE is a stub problem, but the form attached the issue will not open with the version of PureEdge that I obtained. Thank you. James McKenzie
I don't know if this is because of a bug because I don't know what commands I should be using to start pureedge. Is there a pureedge.exe to click on or some other way to start the program. Can someone please help me with the commands or procedure to start pureedge? Thanks, Scotty
Thanks James, a whole bunch!!! That worked. There is an extra ./ that is not needed in the cd you sent. Thanks, Scotty

Sometimes my hands move too fast! The proper command is cd ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/PureEdge/Viewer\ 6.0 then you execute the program with wine masqform.exe Can you please attach the working .xfd file to Bug 11625? I am trying to get the problem specified in that bug fixed. James McKenzie
Sorry, I don't think that attaching the file is possible because the file is a request for a grant and I don't have permission to post it. Thanks for your help, though. Scotty
It does contain personal and sensitive information. Sorry, but I can not post it on the internet.
