[compiz] compiz 0.7 error "No GLXFBConfig for default depth"
Since upgrading to compiz 0.7, it does not start anymore on my x86_64 system, with the error message compiz (core) - Fatal: No GLXFBConfig for default depth, this isn't going to work. compiz (core) - Error: Failed to manage screen: 0 compiz (core) - Fatal: No manageable screens found on display :0.0 I am using an nvidia graphics card with nvidia 169.09 driver. xorg.conf and Xorg.0.log can be found in this report: http://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=38064 What could be wrong? Compiz 0.6.2 was working perfectly fine on this setup. -- Frederik Himpe

Example: > http://bugs.opencompositing.org/show_bug.cgi?id=774I already tried googling around, but it did not help much. A thing which is often cited, also in that bug report, is using --no-libgl-fallback, but compiz 0.7 does not seem to recognise that parameter. In the Xorg logs I also could not find a sign that something is wrong with my nvidia installation: the nvidia kernel module is loaded, the nvidia xorg and glx modules are loaded, dri seems to be working... All was working well before I upgraded to compiz 0.7. -- Frederik Himpe

I'd recommend Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True" in the device section of your xorg.conf.> Compiz 0.6.2 was working perfectly fine on this setup. You're sure you _only_ updated Compiz and did not update e.g. your graphics driver? The code parts of Compiz containing this error message weren't changed between 0.6 and 0.7. Regards, Danny
