Example of somthing I''m working on where a model type structure would be nice. I have a web interface to Asterisk. the web interface let''s adminisrators create dialplan ''scripts'' for end users. The scripts have variable placeholders that need to be filled in by end users. Each script template consists of a snippet of dialplan code and a yaml definition file. The dialplan code contains variables. THere is a web form that reads a yaml file and creates a dynamic web form according to the variables in the yaml file. When the form is submitted the dialplan script template is eval''d using the form data to create the end dialplan script. The yaml file also stores some validation data, like max length or disallowed characters, etc.. This same technique is used for creating phone templates also. The only other thing I could think of was to create a separate table for each script. But I didn''t really like that idea as I would constantly be dropping and creating new tables and associated models on the fly. Any other solutions come to mind?
