Hello :) I want to send Emails using ActionMailer, but since I''m developing on my iBook and not on a live server with a fully qualified domain name, mail servers on the internet are refusing to accept my emails. So I was wondering if there''s an easier way to use ActionMailer in development. For example, it would be much easier if ActionMailer just saved the emails to a (log)file instead of sending them. Any ideas? Thanks, Rob
If you put : ActionMailer::Base.delivery_method = :test if your development.rb enviroment form, it will not attempt to send the emails, though you would see in the development the building of the email. Though i have not checked this. Check out the configuration for test environment and make it the same for your dev environment. -- -- Tom Mornini On Oct 22, 2005, at 11:17 AM, Robert wrote:> Hello :) > > I want to send Emails using ActionMailer, but since I''m developing > on my iBook and not on a live server with a fully qualified domain > name, mail servers on the internet are refusing to accept my emails. > > So I was wondering if there''s an easier way to use ActionMailer in > development.
