Rails - May 2005 - How do I create a complex object (and navigate while I'm doing so)?

I''m probably approaching this in th ewrong way but would like some
advice.

I''m working on(what I thought) was a simple project tracker.

Each new mini-project has a root ''Deliverable'' model and a
bunch of
''Task'' models associated with it (using explicit IDs in the
Deliverable,
like, testing_task_id, coding_task_id etc)

So far so good, everything has been generated etc.

What I want to do is create a new deliverable and, in the new 
deliverable page have a series of links to create new tasks, after 
creating a task I go beck to teh new deliverable page for the next 
task.  At the end of the process I create the whole deliverable and 
return to the list.

I''m struggling to make it work.  I think I need to put everything in
the
session initially but I''m having real trouble getting th enavigation 
sorted out.

Does anyone know of an example or pointers for this sort of thing?
