This is /. that we're talking about here... Not exactly a "professional" news outlet by any means. You would think with how often sites get /.'ed that they would have come up with some kind of solution for it by now (I'm thinking some kind of notification procedure, /. itself doing a mirror, or maybe some kind of P2P browser plugin.) But alas, it's been that way for some time now and probably won't change anytime soon.
