Hello, I'd like to use abcde to rip my CD:s to Ogg Vorbis format - but abcde wants a "vorbiscomment" in my PATH. I assume it's a tool for inserting meta-data into Ogg Vorbis files, but where do I get it? The vorbis-tools package doesn't seem to contain it. Anyway, since for now it does require vorbiscomment... It is in vorbis-tools, at least in beta 4. Sounds very promising! Good luck. At the moment, I think the nearest utility to what you are planning is Grip for Linux, a console that unifies cdparanoia, vorbis tool, Lame and CD player with CDDB look-up, progress indicators, rip-encode parallelism. It hasn't got tagger nor mover, though. Furthermore, I have got a few problems with comments. Is that only me who doesn't know how to set 'genre' information using oggenc beta 4? '-N' option also does not seem to work well with Winamp comment editor. Honestly, I am completely new to Linux. So, the problems may be only me, though. :-( ___________________________________________________________________ To get your own FREE ZDNet Onebox - FREE voicemail, email, and fax, all in one place - sign up today at http://www.zdnetonebox.com --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'vorbis-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body.
