[Gluster-users] Is it safe to add one brick with data and one empty brick to a 2-node replica set?
If I start out my deployment as a 2-node replica set (later to grow to distributed-replicated), is it safe and proper to add brick #1 with data, and an empty brick #2? Will data be replicated to the empty brick, or am I asking for trouble? Thanks, Michael ______________________________________________________________________________________ Michael Kushnir System Architect / Engineer Communications Engineering Branch Lister Hill National Center for Biomedical Communications National Library of Medicine 8600 Rockville Pike, Building 38A, Floor 10 Besthesda, MD 20894 Phone: 301-435-3219 Email: michael.kushnir at nih.gov<mailto:michael.kushnir at nih.gov> [cid:image001.jpg at 01CDB36F.D6086AB0] -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Technically that's unsupported and produces "unexpected behavior". In reality that unexpected behavior does exactly what you're asking, as long as it's the left-hand brick that contains the files. (left-hand as listed in the volume creation order).
