[Rd] ambiguous example in as.Date() documentation (PR#10990)
<<insert bug report here>> The note in the as.Date() documentation is ambiguous (is it referring to February 3rd, 2001, or March 2nd, 2001?) While it is certainly true that one could peruse the ISO 8601 standard to determine which ordering is correct, changing the example day to one where the day value is >12 would resolve the ambiguity. Current Note: The default formats follow the rules of the ISO 8601 international standard which expresses a day as '"2001-02-03"'. Proposed Note: The default formats follow the rules of the ISO 8601 international standard which expresses a day as '"2001-04-29"'. --please do not edit the information below-- Version: platform = i386-redhat-linux-gnu arch = i386 os = linux-gnu system = i386, linux-gnu status = major = 2 minor = 5.1 year = 2007 month = 06 day = 27 svn rev = 42083 language = R version.string = R version 2.5.1 (2007-06-27) Locale: LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8;LC_NUMERIC=C;LC_TIME=en_US.UTF-8;LC_COLLATE=en_US.UTF-8;LC_MONETARY=en_US.UTF-8;LC_MESSAGES=en_US.UTF-8;LC_PAPER=en_US.UTF-8;LC_NAME=C;LC_ADDRESS=C;LC_TELEPHONE=C;LC_MEASUREMENT=en_US.UTF-8;LC_IDENTIFICATION=C Search Path: .GlobalEnv, package:stats, package:graphics, package:grDevices, package:utils, package:datasets, package:methods, Autoloads, package:base
