This is a problem in a (non-CRAN) contributed package, and so a misuse of R-bugs: please do read the R FAQ and posting guide. Binary versions of packages need to be matched to versions of R: almost certainly this needs to be re-installed from the sources (which it seems that author is not distributiing). Note that the 'current' version of the packages is said on its webpage to be from July 2003, but the package was built under R 2.0.1 in July 2005.
