[Rd] crash after help(..., chmhelp=TRUE) (PR#562)
Hi! I tried to use compiled html on the following system: NT4.0 SP6 (with _old_ IE3), R-1.0.1. R > help(ls, chmhelp=TRUE) ... but nothing happens ...>From the R Readme:"To make use of this you will need a recent version of Windows or IE4 or later installed, or use the updater hhupd.exe on CRAN at bin/windows/windows-NT/etc." So I used the updater 'hhupd.exe'. After that (and rebooting, ...): R > help(ls, chmhelp=TRUE) Here R crashes (Dr. Watson).... The same happens on another machine with IE3 _and_ Netscape 4.73. After installing IE5 everything works fine. With NT4.0Sp5 the updater works. I doubt if is needed at all for NT4.0Sp6, which is `a recent version of Windows', surely.
