I have uploaded another snapshot of the R and C code for the lme (linear mixed-effects models) library to the src/contrib/devel section of the CRAN archives. It will take a couple of days to get installed and exported to the mirrors. I realized after I uploaded that I missed one symbolic link of ./lme/src-c should be linked as ./lme/src too. Please run ln -s lme/src-c lme/src before trying to install the library. There is a file EXAMPLES included with this release. It is a misnomer - it only shows one example but at least you can see that one example works - sort of. I'm still having trouble with R/S-PLUS inconsistencies in the model.matrix and data.frame functions. This release really is for the devel section - brave beta-testers only. The good news is that the S-PLUS version does essentially everything that SAS PROC MIXED does. And, of course, it does it better :-) -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- r-devel mailing list -- Read http://www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/~hornik/R/R-FAQ.html Send "info", "help", or "[un]subscribe" (in the "body", not the subject !)
