I have some tinc nodes behind a nat router. Which ipaddress should i use in de host file for the tinc nodes behind a nat router. The internet ipaddress or the private ipaddress ? Perry
Hi Perry, The public ip address should be in the host file. However, you must make sure that the port 655 on the router is being forwarded to the machine running tinc. If you use a recent version of tinc (>= 1.0.10) it should just work, only if you have older versions of tinc you might need to use the TCPOnly option or set up port forwarding on the NAT device. -- Met vriendelijke groet / with kind regards, Guus Sliepen <guus at tinc-vpn.org> -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... May be te problem is that one node is in a dmz network with a private ipaddress. And a other tinc node is behind two nat router :-) I wil try to move the tinc node in the dmz network to a normal network. And then test is again.
