CentOS - Apr 2012 - Centos 5 live cd?

It seems that the live cd for 5 is no longer in existence. Is this an oversight
or by design?

Not sure why, but 5.6 was the last CentOS-5 LiveCD built. The ISOs are 
still on

http://vault.centos.org/5.6/isos/

The CentOS-6 LiveCD/DVD ISOs are built as part of the distro build 
process.  I expect one could still use the tools at

https://projects.centos.org/trac/livecd/

to produce one for CentOS-5 but I have not tried lately, having largely 
moved on to CentOS-6.

at CentOS-5.8 release time, people thought that it wasent worth doing
the C5 livecd anymore since everyone was expected to be using centos-6
now for livecd type things.

If someone wants to step up and offer to help maintain the livecd for
centos-5, I would be willing to add that into the release files
