[Samba] re : connection issue between Samba 3.X and Windows 2003 Server?
Hello - I've run into a serious issue connecting a Windows 2003 server client to my Samba 3.0.10 server. All other Windows platforms (windows 2000, XP, etc) can correctly connect to my samba server, but Windows 2003 Server complains that the machine is not found. Is this a known issue? I've heard Windows 2003 server changed the encryption scheme with higher security. I have a log file (level=5) on the smb server showing that there is in fact a connection established despite Windows 2003 server complaining that no machine is found. I suspect I have something wrong with my config file but I've scoured the newsgroups and haven't found much. Smb.conf : [global] workgroup = TELECOMSYS server string = Samba Server security = server password server = [ip address not shown] log file = /var/samba/log.%m debug level = 0 max log size = 50 dns proxy = No load printers = no I can provide more detail if needed.
