We are using samba. I need help with 2 things: 1. how do I find out what version of samba am I using. Its on a Solaris ( http://www.experts-exchange.com/Networking/Unix_Networking/Q_21951745.html# ) 8 box. 2. ow do I apply the patch for the following vulnerability? http://www.samba.org/samba/security/CAN-2006-3403.html ( http://www.samba.org/samba/security/CAN-2006-3403.html ) When I click on the patch, it displays the code ( http://www.experts-exchange.com/Networking/Unix_Networking/Q_21951745.html# ). I am new to Solaris (which I am sure you can make out) so I need instructions on how to find current samba version installed and instructions to apply the above patch.
