i have two squid configuration files, one without ntlm
authentication and the other using ntlm
authentication.
sometimes my AD (windows 2003 server) against which
iam authenticating might go off and i get problems.
i want to write a squid that automatically switches
between the two configuration files in case the AD
backend dies.
my question is, what tests should the script perform
to ensure that the connection is alright so that i can
switch back to authentication ?
this will be a cron script that will run every 2
minutes checking the connection.
something like winbind offline mode i think ?
"Who the heck is General Failure, and why is he reading my
harddisk?"
