samba - Jan 2006 - users.map changes needed after upgrading from Samba 2.2.8a to 3.0.10?

After upgrading Samba from 2.2.8a to 3.0.10, we find that users
whose Unix login does not match their NT login need to have their
users.map entry changed to include their NT domain name.

e.g.:
grybo = grybowski
   had to be changed to
grybo = NA0X/grybowski

I didn't have any luck searching the archives for this
problem occurring for anyone else. Is there something
that needs to be set in my smb.conf file to get around this?

In particular, search for "winbind use default domain"
