Hi, I''m a long ext3 user (rpmfind.net). I propagated ext3 on some of our server box (W3C webservers are ext3 based too now). I might be tempted of testing out your kernel RPMs but unavailability or the source RPM and the SMP version are definite showstoppers. Please provide them. In the meantime I will stick to my own set of kernel ext3 RPMs at ftp://rpmfind.net/pub/veillard/ext3/ Daniel -- Daniel.Veillard@w3.org | W3C, INRIA Rhone-Alpes | libxml Gnome XML toolkit Tel: +33 476 615 257 | 655, avenue de l''Europe | http://xmlsoft.org/ Fax: +33 476 615 207 | 38330 Montbonnot FRANCE | Rpmfind search site http://www.w3.org/People/all#veillard%40w3.org | http://rpmfind.net/

Additionally the sources for the particular ext2fsprogs would be useful - I have no idea quite how they relate to the 1.20-WIP set on sourceforge. Even more since the ChangeLog isn''t in the package either. Having the source RPM will also simplify my life because i won''t have to patch existing redhat kernel sources RPMs to rebuild mines (or only have to do minimal changes). I will try and find the SRPMs and get them up there today. Thanks for catching an oversight on our part! Even more since the ChangeLog isn''t in the package either. The e2fsprogs is just the August 1.20-WIP snapshot with an "mke3fs" wrapper shell script. Ted, Andreas and I are putting together a newer e2fsprogs which will understand an updated, more flexible journal format, and which will have journal support built into the basic mke2fs.
