[Samba] Samba 3.0: Cannot alter user settings with pdbedit
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 After a failed migrate from NT4 to Samba 3.0 using the rpc vampire method I decided I'd do it manually with 'net rpc samdump'. Well it sort of worked, except I can't edit any of the users settings, it might just be me, but it should modify the profile to that, just as a test but it doesn't. I'd actually like to get rid of the profile setting all together, tat was simply a test, anyone know where the file is that controls this? turing:/home/sjr# pdbedit -u sjr -r --profile=\\turing\sjr\uethu Unix username: SJr NT username: Account Flags: [UX ] User SID: S-1-5-21-XXXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXXXX-XXXX Primary Group SID: S-1-5-21-XXXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXXXX-XXXX Full Name: Debian User,,, Home Directory: \\turing\SJr HomeDir Drive: Logon Script: Profile Path: \\turing\SJr\profile Domain: SJRX.NET Account desc: Workstations: Munged dial: Logon time: 0 Logoff time: Mon, 18 Jan 2038 19:14:07 GMT Kickoff time: Mon, 18 Jan 2038 19:14:07 GMT Password last set: 0 Password can change: 0 Password must change: Mon, 18 Jan 2038 19:14:07 GMT . -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (MingW32) iD8DBQE/hBZrEK+EAP2ExcQRAi4CAJ90S0RWGFZdcjpSVkB9SI3VFBhbqwCZAQBq 7CnK+OA2tVFmASGW93qfYyI=7ADZ -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
