I am a bit confused. We want to use srvmgr.exe and usrmgr.exe to manage a Samba 3.0 domain. Chapter 7 (Domain membership) of the Samba Project Documentation suggests that we use nexus.exe on all client platforms except NT 4.0. The Microsoft documentation suggests that we use srvtools.exe on Windows 2000 professional clients. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;237995 Why is there a difference between both sets of documentation and does it really matter which set of tools we use?

Use SrvTools on Windows NT4/200x/XP. I will check the HOWTO notes to fix any ambiguities or incorrect advice. Thanks for the feedback. - John T. -- John H Terpstra Email: jht@samba.org

The documentation was wrong. I have fixed it in the master document sources which should be committed to public CVS before samba-3 is released. - John T. -- John H Terpstra Email: jht@samba.org
Hi, and there is still no valid answer why delete user script is not working by invoking from usrmgr. And dont tell me not all linux are equal bla bla.... on suse this script is /usr/sbin/userdel (im able to read man pages) and it worked perfect in former versions of samba. The problem the script is simply not executed if invoked by usrmgr.exe sorry for the hard word but my postings about that were ignored since month or answered by nonsense. at last this is the only funktion i cant get to work trough all the betas of samba 3 with different setups on different distros compilings etc. the log says this in not fully implemented yet. All i wanna know is , do you know this behaveour, are you working on it? I feel first time very helpless asking to lists , so i ve done it to bugzilla at samba.org perhaps some now sombody thinks trough this problem.
