I have three configuration qustions I need some help on. 1. How do I set a share to be viewable by a specific group only? 2. How do I set the superuser for a share to a group instead of a user? 3. Can I have group specific login scripts instead of user specific or one for all? Thanks Mark __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I can advise on 2 and 3, but not 1. 2 : add admin users = @group to the share 3 : use the %g expansion in the logon script parameter Maybe someone knows of a hide, but make visible for some share option. I reply to save those more qualified time, which can more usefully be spent developing SAMBA further.
Another suggestion for num 3
use a preexec for [netlogon]
[netlogon]
root preexec /usr/local/sbin/makeBatchfile %u
and then in your makeBatchfile you can get the groups using "id" or
pass it
from samba and build the //server/netlogon/userx.bat.
I have found this very handy.
Michael.
PS watch the carrage returns...
