Samba 2.2.3a (from 2.2.2 really) contains code to improve the Windows 9x
userlist.
If you are using earlier than 2.2.2, then you should upgrade, if not it may
be a configuration problem, and you should include the output from
testparm, or your smb.conf.

I am not a member of the samba team,
and anything that I say may not be as
accurate as a response from one of the
team. I reply to save those more
qualified time, which can more usefully
be spent developing SAMBA further.
