Hello: I'm using Samba 2.2.1a and running RedHat 7.1 After setting up my small home network (a laptop running WinME, an iMac, a Win95 box and a second Linux machine) I find I can mount shares from all machines except the Windows 95 one. When I attempt to mount such shares, I get... 3027: protocol negotiation failed SMB connection failed I 'thought' I had the network configuration on the Win95 box matching that on the WinME laptop, but I guess I missed something. Can someone point me toward a possible solution? Thanks. -- Wendell Craig <anncr.man@intercom.com> http://anncrman.com "Licorice is the liver of candy." -- Michael O'Donoghue
Could this be the encrypted password problem? Does the newest version of Samba 2.2.3a fix the issue of using a file larger then 4 gigs on a Samba Share. I have successfully created a file that is larger then 4 gigs. After doing this I attempted to copy this file to the samba share and after 4 gigs the file started to overwrite itself and its size went down to 0 again. I have also created files larger then 4 gigs on the linux box successfully. The problem is showing that files to the windows machine. If anyone could answer wether or not this is fixed I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you. Michael
