samba - Oct 2001 - WINS ?

Hello!

I need to have smb access from several subnets to another set of subnets 
over
slow and unstable. I can't use one wins server for this, becuase channel 
is unstable.
And samba doesn't support wins replication.
Is there any way to add some workgroups and servers to samba wins server 
manually?

Hello,

you can add static entries to wins.dat, like this:

"SERVER#20" 0 159.237.74.99 64R 

max wins ttl of "0" will make this entry permanent.
