Bugreport 2.2.0 "delete veto files" causes "PANIC: internal error"
Hi, I found out, that using the global option "delete veto files" causes the smbd client to die with an internal error, when the Windows client tries to delete a directory containing veto files. Example: Directory "New Folder" on the Samba share contains a folder named ".AppleDouble" from the netatalk server daemon. ".AppleDouble" is in the veto files list. When a Windows machine tries to delete "New Folder", the smb connection dies and an error message occurs. I saw on groups.google.com that a few (but not many) other people encountered the problem. I don't know if that means it has been backported to SAMBA_2_2 Yours Tony. /* * "The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the * same level of thinking we were at when we created them." * --Albert Einstein */
