samba - Dec 2000 - perfomance

Hello, all!

 I using samba 2.0.7 on freebsd 4.1. I have one more file server with
Windows NT 4.0 Server installed. Win 4.0 SMB service has more perfomance
then Samba 2.0.7. I've heard that exist some special parameters for improve
Samba perfomance.
 Can you help me?

look at the description in speed.txt here at my machine it is to
be found in /usr/doc/packages/samba
