Hi, I'm encountering an inconsistant problem with NT4 SP3 workstations not being able to remap the shares offered by my samba server. The server is running samba-2.0.5a on a Linux machine running Red Hat 6.0. The problem usually seems to occur every morning when the machines are booted up and everyone logs in, however not everyone has the problem and then problem doesn't occur every day to the same workstations. I haven't done anything with login in scripts to map drives. They were mapped using NT itself, going to Network Neighbourhood and selecting map drive etc... In the logs I see [2000/01/21 07:28:55, 1] smbd/service.c:make_connection(521) ws25prod (192.168.160.25) connect to service sys as user sambauser (uid=900, gid=900) (pid 21433) [2000/01/21 07:29:55, 0] smbd/process.c:timeout_processing(868) Reloading services after SIGHUP when the failures occur. The other strange thing is that after NT has booted the mapped drives show up with the little red X but when you click on them, there isn't a problem. I know just enough NT to get be by so I know very little about this service pack stuff. So could NT be the problem ?? Or is it at the server end ? Thanks in advance Pete
