I have tried everything I can think of, including all of the remedies in the diagnostics site. I always get the following error when I try to connect to my SAMBA server: [root@pdslnx /root]# smbclient -L PDSLNX Added interface ip=192.168.1.1 bcast=192.168.1.255 nmask=255.255.255.0 session request to PDSLNX failed session request to *SMBSERVER failed I can connect to my other machines (W95 and NT4). I can the networks on the W95 and NT and see my server, but I can't connect to it. The 95 says PDSLNX is not accessible. The specified computer did not receive your request. The NT says PDSLNX is not accessible. The remote computer is unavailable. The samba log shows: 1999/12/16 15:26:32, 3] lib/util_sock.c:send_one_packet(608) sending a packet of len 1 to (127.0.0.1) on port 137 of type DGRAM [1999/12/16 15:26:32, 4] lib/time.c:TimeInit(110) Serverzone is 18000 [1999/12/16 15:26:32, 10] lib/util_sock.c:read_smb_length_return_keepalive(449) got smb length of 68 [1999/12/16 15:26:32, 1] lib/util_sock.c:client_name(814) Gethostbyaddr failed for 192.168.1.14 [1999/12/16 15:26:32, 0] lib/access.c:check_access(253) Denied connection from 192.168.1.14 (192.168.1.14) [1999/12/16 15:26:32, 1] smbd/process.c:process_smb(558) Connection denied from 192.168.1.14 [1999/12/16 15:26:32, 6] lib/util_sock.c:write_socket(185) write_socket(4,5) [1999/12/16 15:26:32, 6] lib/util_sock.c:write_socket(188) write_socket(4,5) wrote 5 [1999/12/16 15:26:32, 2] smbd/server.c:exit_server(406) Closing connections [1999/12/16 15:26:32, 5] locking/shmem.c:smb_shm_close(582) smb_shm_close [1999/12/16 15:26:32, 8] lib/util.c:fcntl_lock(2632) fcntl_lock 5 7 0 1 1 and a lot more stuff. I am using encrypted passwords according to the instructions in the documentation. Any ideas? Charly Baker
