Dear List! I used samba for many years on HP-UX 9.xx and 10.xx. Now I would like to install it on a SUN Solaris 2.5.1. In the make file it is mentioned the cc under Solaris is not ANSI compatible. I bought some product (namely ucbcc, but I'm not 100% sure in the name). I hoped it would work, but it had a lotta warnings and it died in the smb.h. It was suggested to us gcc, but how can I compile it if I don't have a c compiler? TIA && good byte From:, the unknown
Dear List! I had a problem to compile samba on teh $SUBJ box. I have SUNWorkspace (or something like this). This contains a cc compiler. I succeeded -Xt flag to compile. There were a lotta "renaming macro" warnings, but the result is just okay. Anyway I will install gcc later on... ;-) THX && good byte From:, the jumper
